Here at NorthStar there are many clubs for lots of diverse people who have different interests. We have clubs for all grades, from elementary to high school level. Elementary students can be a part of the Sports Club, the Pet Club, and the Art Club. Middle schoolers have the Sports Club, the Art Club, and the Global Missions Club. Clubs for high school students include Aspiring Filmmakers Club, Bible Club, Book Club, Chess Club, Creative Writing Club, Culinary Arts Club, Debate Club, Gaming Club, Languages Club, Missions Club, Music Club, Outdoors Club, Performing Arts Club, Sports & Fitness Club, STEM Club, and Visual Arts Club.
There are many reasons to join a club here at NSA. Dr. Sundermeyer, the StuCo Coordinator, said, “NSA clubs provide the unique opportunity to meet fellow NorthStar students around the world who are passionate about the same things as you! Take a look at the available clubs and reach out to join! These are places and spaces where you are sure to meet new people and even make a friend or two who like the same things as you!”
Live meetings are a way some clubs get together and talk, but only high school clubs have live meetings, which meet around once a month. Elementary and middle school clubs connect on their Teams channel. Each club is run by a student. High school clubs are run by a student and a teacher advisor who helps encourage and inspire the student. The clubs here at NSA were mostly pre-established based on traditions, but some of the clubs have been created by students' passion for these things. High school even has a new Business Club coming out this year, created by the StuCo Club Coordinator, Amram.
High school students can gather more information about clubs in the Club Connection channel in the high school Teams building. The middle and elementary school students can find more information in their own team buildings. You can also reach out to Amram and Dr. Sundermeyer for more information about clubs. Elementary and middle school students can join clubs by going to their Teams building and joining the club channel. High school students can receive the join codes for clubs by reaching out to Dr. Sundermeyer or Amram. Several clubs have already opened up, so you may join them that way.
