It’s Time to Move On

It’s time to move on, and it is hard for me to believe. The past four to five years have been a whirlwind with many highs but also many lows. Time works strangely: a moment can feel like an eternity, but a lifetime in the blink of an eye. It doesn’t make sense to me, and maybe it shouldn’t. I think if anything, it is simply a good reminder to make the most of the seasons that God has placed us in. So I stand here today, at the end of high school, thinking of what was, what is, and what might be, marveling at the faithfulness of God that has always been on display.
I am very grateful for the seasons of life that have been given to me, and for the people who have been placed in my life. I want to give a special thanks to my immediate family, who have walked with me lovingly all these years. I also want to thank all of my friends who have enriched my life and brought me so much joy! I love you guys dearly. I am also thankful for my time here at NorthStar and especially thankful for my time here at the Navigator. It has been a very enriching experience, and I am so thankful for all that I have learned in my time here.
For anyone in the midst of a difficult season of life, I want you to know that God is always present, even in the midst of suffering. For anyone who may be entering a new season of life, I want you to know that your future is in God’s hands, even when it does not feel like it. Finally, for those who are in a good and rich season of life, I want you to know that God is also there, in that joy!
I have learned in life that it is very difficult to say goodbye, but I have also learned that goodbyes make hellos all the richer. I’ve tried to communicate how I feel in this article, but I must confess, I do not think I will ever be able to convey the bittersweet emotions adequately. Nevertheless, there is a season for everything under the sun, and today, I think it is time to move on.
