Meet the 22-23 Student Council! - Part 3

Student Council is a big group of students and mentors all working together for the good of NorthStar. As such, there are quite a few people and roles to explain. In Part 3 of this article, I’ll be talking about The Representative Team.
The Representative Team:
About: The Representative Team is an incredibly important part of uniting students across campus! Every month, every student will get a newsletter in their email from their Grade Representative! They also help host fun grade calls to build community between students. Your Grade Reps LOVE meeting new people and helping others make connections at NSA, so don’t be afraid to reach out to them and say hi! The Club Representative (a new position on StuCo this year) represents clubs and helps them get started, organizing and leading the student club leaders. The Club Representative will also help organize the creation of new clubs, gathering volunteer student and adult club leaders. Any questions you have about clubs, you can ask The Club Rep!
Student Council Members
Roy H. - Elementary School Representative: Hello, my name is Roy H., I am the StuCo EL Rep. This is my second year at NSA. I like playing the drums, piano, and the guitar. I enjoy reading books, and playing outside, and playing board games, like chess, or risk.
Esther Y. - Elementary School Representative: Hi everyone! My name is Esther Y and I am working as Elementary Representative for this year with Roy H. I am in 7th grade, ( I know its confusing but I am the EL rep lol) and started NSA when I was in 4th grade. I live with my parents and younger brother in South Korea. I like to sing, play the piano and ukulele, draw, hangout with friends, and make Vlogs (that I never ever edit or finish XDD). I am excited to be on Student Council this year :)
Tiana D. - Middle School Representative: My name is Tiana D. and I am this year's Middle School Representative. Some cool facts about me: I have very mixed blood. A combination of European and Asian and Australian. I will be 13 in three months. I love to bake, sing, dance, and act. I have also never been in snow! I hope you learned a little bit about me and I can't wait to meet you guys on our grade calls!
Michaela O. - 9th Grade Representative: Hey everyone! My name is Michaela O. I'm a freshman, and live in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. I'm super excited to be the 9th-grade rep this year and connect with all the 9th-grade students. I love dancing, music, reading, and being outdoors!
Emma R. - 10th Grade Representative: “Hey hey! My name is Emma and this year I’m the 10th-grade rep. this is my second year at NorthStar, and I live in a tiny town in southern Missouri, where I live with my family and a ton of animals XD I love photography and taking care of animals, and plants. I’m super excited to be a rep this year, and I'm excited for what this year holds!”
Sophia D. - 11th Grade Representative: Wassup! I'm Sophia Dean, I live in Singapore and I am the 11th grade Rep for this year! I love singing, playing guitar, acting (anything film really), and making people laugh, hehe, among many other things xD I am more than willing to talk with you or help you with anything that you need, so please don't be shy to reach out!! It's what I'm here for!
Alexis T. - 12th Grade Representative: My name is Alexis T. and I'm the 12th Grade Representative for this year. I'm excited to connect with my grade! I've been at NSA since 7th grade (wow, it's my sixth year...). I live in Agoura Hills, California (Southern California) and my hobbies include reading, watching television, crocheting, and playing with makeup.
Amazone H. - Clubs Representative: Hello, I am Amazone! I am a 17-year-old senior and this is my fifth year at NSA. I currently live in Costa Rica, though I was born in France. I enjoy mathematics and learning new languages. This year, I will be the Club Representative, which is a new position on the Student Council.

Lydia N. lives in Kansas City with her mom, stepdad, and dog, Pippin. This is her third year at NSA, her second on Student Council, and her second as the Editor-in-Chief for The NorthStar Navigator. She hopes to pursue a career in digital marketing and graphic design in the future, as well as pursue her acting and singing dreams.
