Those plugged into the community on Teams can affirm that group chats are an essential part to what keeps NSA going. There are so many great groups to join, that it would be hard not to find a band of people with similar interests as yours! However one in particular is very unique, a group called “The iNSAne Equestrians”!

The iNSAne Equestrians are a group of 40 girls of all different ages from around the globe. From Tennessee to Indonesia and all sorts of places in between, one might think these students to be too different to be friends. If you were to assume this, you would be incorrect, seeing that these ladies find something universal to bond about: their love of horses. One student says, “I love being able to connect with other horse lovers at NSA, and it's lots of fun to talk about horses with other girls who love them just as much!”

According to a survey, approximately a little over half of the members of the “iNSAne Equestrians” currently ride in some fashion, whether that be competing or just for fun! Some have their own horses, each with unique stories and personalities. From a rescue horse named Ella,  to an injured show horse named Slack, to a young horse named Eclipse, these horses are very different, but are all loved by those who ride them.

There are so many different kinds of horses in the world, and every single one is unique and special in their own way. Victoria, a sixth grader, said, “God made horses and all of them are different. Nowadays, we all try to be like everyone else or ‘fit in’ but the truth is we are all different. We should be like horses and act ourselves!” I believe that Victoria put that very well. Just like no two horses are truly the same, no two people are the same either! Psalm 139:13-14 says, “For You formed my inward parts; you covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well.” Isn’t that amazing? Each of us are fearfully and wonderfully made! God made you who you are for a reason, and we should embrace that! Be different, be you, be who God made you to be!
