As the teacher advisor for the Navigator, I have been blessed to have many strong and accomplished editors-in-chief over the past twelve years, and Alex M. is no exception. He has been our leader for the 2026 school year, and his direction has made the Navigator a superior newspaper. When I first met Alex, he was a freshman, and I have had the privilege of seeing him grow over the years. I’m excited for where God will take Alex in the future!
The Navigator staff has come together to issue some final thanks to Alex for his great work this year.
Zoe: Alex, it has been an honor having you as our editor-in-chief this year! You were supportive, helpful, and encouraging, everything a great leader should be. I can’t wait to see what you accomplish!
Ellie: Alex, you have been a great Editor-in-Chief! Thank you for all you’ve done to make the Navigator what it is. Thank you for all the time and effort you’ve put in to prepare me for next year! I’m looking forward to seeing all that you achieve in life!
Brooklyn: Hey Alex! Thanks for all your help this year with the Nav! Your commitment to helping others while staying on top of publication is amazing. Thanks for all the help with Image Manager too!
Keziah: Thank you, Alex! I’m really glad for you taking the time to explain how to do the work we get done at the Navigator. You’re great at encouraging and helping others, and you’ve only gotten better at that since last year. I hope you have a wonderful experience at college, where you learn how to be more and more like Christ.
Jared: Thank you for all the hard work you have put into the Nav! You made sure it ran smoothly. Thank you!
Jonah: Alex, I want to thank you for all the work that you put in here at the Nav. You keep things running nice and smooth around here, and that is thanks to all of your diligence and hard work. I have always appreciated how you have led and supported the staff in your time as Editor-in-Chief, and I believe that those leadership skills will be very useful to you as you progress in life. Again, thank you so much!
Onyi: Alex, I am grateful for your leadership of the Navigator this past year. You are so supportive, engaging, and respectful! Also, thanks for updating the Navigator with crosswords and word puzzles–you made some neat changes to the newspaper! Overall, it’s been great working with you.
Andrew: Hey Alex! It’s been great to work with you on the Navigator this year. You made life so much easier for me as a new writer and I am eternally grateful for that. I’m really sad to see you go but I know you’re moving on to the calling God has on your life and who can be sad about that? I wish you the best in your next stage of life and I’m praying for you!
