Thank You, Mrs. Meyer!

Mrs. April Meyer is the Navigator’s amazing teacher advisor. For most years of the Navigator’s existence, she has been guiding staff after staff towards being the best student newspaper possible. This trend continued this year as she provided amazing feedback on articles, led our semi-weekly calls, helped each staff member in a unique way, and taught the NAVI280 Live course. Therefore, the staff has come together to give some thanks to Mrs. Meyer for all she has done for the staff over the 2025-2026 school year.
Onyi: “Mrs. Meyer, you have been one of my favorite teachers. Thank you for telling funny stories, engaging with us, and offering feedback with wisdom and grace. And thank you so much for all your prayers--I appreciate you both as a teacher and as a friend!”
Ellie: “Mrs. Meyer, thank you for all you do for us! Thank you for always being encouraging, joyful, and helpful. You're a wonderful teacher, and I appreciate all you do.”
Andrew: “Mrs. Meyer, I can't even begin to express how grateful I am for everything you've done and everything you do for NorthStar and its students. You're such an amazing mentor and we are so incredibly blessed to have you as our teacher! Thank you for loving the Navigator, loving us, and loving the Lord!”
Brooklyn: “Mrs. Meyer, thank you so much for all you've done for me and the Navigator staff over the years! I'm so grateful to be your student. Every time I've had a conversation with you or received feedback on an assignment, your words of encouragement have always made me smile. Thanks for all the support and prayers, it truly means the world!”
Jonah: “Mrs. Meyer, I want to thank you so much for all that you have done for the Navigator. I have always felt cared for and loved in this class, and I have always appreciated your feedback and thoughtful responses to any questions I might have. I also want to thank you for encouraging me to come on staff. Without your encouragement, I doubt I would have considered joining the Nav, and I would have missed out on all the joys that come with being part of the school newspaper. Many blessings!”
Zoe: “Mrs. Meyer, thank you for all you've done for both me and the Navigator these past two years. I always felt your support and encouragement no matter what, which I'm truly grateful for. You've also helped me grow so much as a writer and journalist. Thank you for everything!”
Keziah: “Thank you, Mrs. Meyer, for being so thoughtful and encouraging! When I was nervous about taking a hard test, you helped me feel more confident. And I love your sweet images that you send as feedback for some of my assignments. I've loved getting to learn from you, and I hope that the next generation of Navigator students feel the same way.”
Jared: “Mrs. Meyer, Thank you so much for all that you have done for not only this class but for our lives outside of the class. You have always been so interested in our lives and what we like to do or the struggles that we face. It means a lot, it truly does. Thank you for your patience in this insane year, and thank you for always being there. You've allowed us to relax in this class in a positive way, encouraging us to enjoy it instead of become stressed about it. Thank you for all that you do!”
